Yes, Gwen, it's frustrating to debate with those who can freely and confidently claim the ridiculous while we're limited to demonstrable facts. And for all my strong criticism of CAM, I don't feel it necessary to demonize believers in it, but he bases his marketing strategy squarely on creating and then attacking a charicature of "conventional" doctors.

I love how he presents himself as a savior. Miraculously curing pets on their deathbed who have been cruelly abandoned by 'conventional' medicine.

Sorry to hear about the shoveling trauma! We here in CA have had a week of continuous mild to moderate rainfall, and even that threatens to crash the transportation and power systems. *sigh*

An excellent post, sad to see Dr. Messioner censoring criticism. Gives the lie to his claims of open-mindedness though. Perhaps he should spend a little time reading more skeptical blogs and their comments. Just about the only way to get deleted from those is to use excessive profanity and/or nasty personal attacks, while most people like Dr. M. delete anything or anyone that disagrees with them (threatens their income flow?). As to referring clients to practitioners like him, that often has the same end result at greater cost and suffering. Perhaps he needs to evaluate his results more carefully and objectively.

Sorry for all the typos in my last comment on your previous post-we have had 4 feet of snow and exhaustion does not help my typing skills. Now off to shovel the foot that fell last night.
